LECTURES

12/8 As part of Pitt's Center on Race and Social Problems Buchanan Ingersoll Fall 2005 Speaker Series, Margaret Beale Spencer, Board of Overseers Professor of Education and Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, will deliver a lecture, titled "Brown's Legacy and Lessons for Healthy Children," at noon, Room 2017, Cathedral of Learning, 4200 Fifth Ave., Oakland. 12/8 The 26 Nationality Rooms in Pitt's Cathedral of Learning, 4200 Fifth Ave., will be open for tours through Jan. 13. Hours are Monday through Friday,

9 a.m.-4 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. An exception is Friday, Nov. 25, with rooms opening at 10 a.m. From Dec. 27 to

Dec. 31, the rooms will open at 10 a.m., with the last tour beginning at 2: 30 p.m. The rooms are closed Dec. 24-26 and Jan. 1. Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for children ages eight to 18. Children under eight are admitted free.
