Pitt's Kuntu Repertory Theatre to Hold Auditions For Deadwood Dick: Legend of the West
PITTSBURGH—The University of Pittsburgh's Kuntu Repertory Theatre will hold auditions from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. March 31 for its final production of the season—Deadwood Dick: Legend of the West. The auditions will take place in the Seventh-Floor Auditorium of Alumni Hall, 4227 Fifth Ave., Oakland.
Actors, including men and women of all ages, should be prepared to perform a one-and-a-half minute monologue and do cold readings from the script. Deadwood Dick: Legend of the West, written by Warren Burdine, tells the story of the legendary "Deadwood Dick" and pays tribute to the courage and dedication of the Black cowboy in the late 1800s. Rehearsals are expected to begin in mid-April. The play runs from May 20 through June 5. For more information, call 412-624-7298.
