Pitt to Hold Monday Tribute for Tree of Life Victims
PITTSBURGH—The Pitt community will come together Monday, Nov. 5, to honor the lives lost, support those who are hurting and stand in appreciation for those who responded to the tragedy at the Tree of Life synagogue. We assemble in an act of solidarity with our Jewish classmates, colleagues, teachers, neighbors, family members and friends.
WHAT: Members of the University community will gather for a one-hour ceremony. The gathering, planned by Pitt students, faculty and staff, is open to all.
WHEN: Noon to 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 5, 2018. Rain or shine.
WHO: University and community leaders and students will give remarks.
WHERE: Cathedral of Learning lawn, near Fifth Avenue between the Cathedral and Heinz Chapel.
NOTES TO MEDIA:
- Limited reserved media parking will be available on Bellefield Avenue, right side, between Filmore Street and Fifth Avenue, starting at 10 a.m.
- Media riser with mult-box will be located on the Cathedral lawn, close to the walkway on the Forbes Avenue side.
