MEDIA AVAILABILITY: Findings of Report on Racial Disparities in Pittsburgh to Be Announced Jan. 13
PITTSBURGH—Details of an important new report, Pittsburgh's Racial Demographics 2015: Differences and Disparities, will be released at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 13 by the University of Pittsburgh's Center on Race and Social Problems. The report, a follow-up to a similar 2007 report, provides indicators of quality of life by race and ethnicity for the Pittsburgh area and the nation.
The media availability will take place in the School of Social Work conference room, 20th floor, Cathedral of Learning, 4200 Fifth Ave., Oakland.
Larry E. Davis, dean of Pitt's School of Social Work and director of the Center on Race and Social Problems, will discuss the report and its key findings.
Neighborhood leaders, foundation representatives, and other members of the community also are expected to be in attendance.
