11/8 The symposium "The Future of Medicare," which includes the Mark A. 11/8 The Swanson School of Engineering will host its seventh annual Nuclear Night, featuring FirstEnergy’s Peter P. Sena III as the keynote speaker. This night allows students to interact with representatives from the region’s nuclear power industry and to learn about Pitt’s nuclear engineering certificate and Master of Science programs. CONFERENCE

LECTURES
11/7 Glenn Flores, professor of pediatrics and public health at the University of Texas, Southwestern, will deliver a free lecture titled “The Successful Elimination of Racial/Ethnic Disparities in Children’s Health and Healthcare,” at noon at Pitt’s Center on Race and Social Problems, 20th floor, Cathedral of Learning, 4200 Fifth Ave., Oakland. 11/5 – 11/30 Students in Pitt’s Museum Studies course, offered by the Department of History of Art and Architecture, present an exhibition titled Face Value: (De)Constructing Identity in Portraits at the University Art Gallery, Frick Fine Arts Building, 650 Schenley Drive, Oakland. REMEMBRANCE DAY—NATIONAL ROLL CALL
11/12 Pitt’s Office of Veterans Services will host the Remembrance Day National Roll Call to honor American servicemen and women. Pitt staff, faculty, and community volunteers will read names of those who have died in operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Lower Lounge, William Pitt Union, 3959 Fifth Ave., Oakland.
