10/24 The honorable Enver Hasani, President Judge of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo, will deliver the University of Pittsburgh School of Law’s 20th annual McLean Lecture on World Law from noon to 1 p.m. in the Barco Law Building’s Teplitz Memorial Courtroom, 3900 Forbes Ave., Oakland. The lecture, "The Role and Position of the Constitutional Courts in Society—The Case of Kosovo," is jointly sponsored by Pitt's Center for International Legal Education and the Global Solutions Education Fund Pittsburgh. 10/25 Karina Walters, William P. and Ruth Gerberding Endowed University Professor at the University of Washington School of Social Work, will deliver a free lecture titled “Bodies Don’t Just tell Stories, they Tell Histories: Embodiment of Historical Trauma and Microaggression Distress” at noon at Pitt’s Center on Race and Social Problems, 20th floor, Cathedral of Learning, 4200 Fifth Ave., Oakland. 10/26 The Center for Metropolitan Studies in Pitt’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs is presenting Elaine Sharp of the University of Kansas as the 2012 speaker in the annual Changing Nature of Civic Engagement in America lecture series. Sharp will be speaking on “Civic Engagement: Lessons from Evidence of Disappointment and Success” at 10:30 a.m. at the University Club, 123 University Drive, Oakland. 10/26 The Department of Music presents a free lecture by assistant professor of music Anna Nisnevich titled “Naturalizing Chaikovsky” at 4 p.m. in Room 132 of the Music Building, 4337 Fifth Ave., Oakland. PITT’S GENE KELLY CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION

10/25 Patricia Ward Kelly, film historian and the widow of the late Gene Kelly, will host the free Gene Kelly Centennial Celebration at 8 p.m. in the Seventh-Floor Auditorium, Pitt’s Alumni Hall, 4227 Fifth Ave., Oakland. Mrs. Kelly will deliver Pittsburgh and Pitt-centered commentary on her late husband’s life and legendary career as she screens excerpts from his films and shares her unique insights with the audience. The event is part of the celebration marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of Gene Kelly, a Pitt alumnus. Seating for this event is limited. 10/29 The Pittsburgh Consortium for Adoption Studies and Pitt’s Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences present Made in India, a film by Rebecca Haimowitz and Vaishali Sinha about surrogacy in India.
