10/4 The Thornburgh Family Lecture Series in Disability Law and Policy, which is sponsored by the Dick Thornburgh Forum for Law and Public Policy at the University of Pittsburgh, will present Jonathan M. Young, PhD, JD, chair of the National Council on Disability, from 1-2:15 p.m. at the University Club, Ballroom B, 123 University Place, Oakland. The title of Young’s lecture will be “Beyond Budgets: From Policy to Progress in Disability Employment.” Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education credit will be available. EXHIBITIONS

Through 10/14 Pitt’s University Art Gallery celebrates Pitt’s 225th anniversary with Faces to Names: 225 Years of Pitt Chancellors’ Portraits (1787-2012) in the gallery, Frick Fine Arts Building, 650 Schenley Drive, Oakland. This free historical exhibition features official portraits of 19 past Pitt chief executives, an array of watercolors of Pitt’s Nationality Rooms, and etchings and drawings of the Cathedral of Learning. Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
