PITT'S INDIAN NATIONALITY ROOM COMMITTEE TO HOLD FESTIVAL

PITTSBURGH—The University of Pittsburgh Indian Nationality Room committee will celebrate Indian Independence Day with the community, from noon to 4 p.m., on Sunday, Aug. 19, with a Festival in the Cathedral of Learning Commons Room.
India is the world's largest democracy. Speakers will highlight India's cultural accomplishments over the centuries while groups will perform traditional dances and instrumental music. The program will feature Indian food, craft demonstrations, displays, and vendor booths.
The event is open to the public and admission is free. For more information, call 412-624-6150.
