PITT'S KUNTU REPERTORY THEATRE SEEKS AFRICAN AMERICAN PERFORMERS FOR PRODUCTION
PITTSBURGH, Nov. 22 -- The University of Pittsburgh's internationally-known Kuntu Repertory Theatre is seeking African American actors and actresses for its upcoming production, "Nefertari Rising," written by Rob Penny and directed by Woodie King, Jr.
Auditions will be held from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 5, and from
6 to 11 p.m., Monday, Dec. 6, in the Africana Studies Department, 3rd Floor, Posvar Hall (formerly the Forbes Quadrangle Building), 230 S. Bouquet Street on Pitt's Oakland campus.
"Nefertari Rising" will run from March 23 through April 8, 2000. Those chosen for roles in the production will be compensated.
Interested individuals should prepare a 90 second monologue, and bring a photo and resume to the audition.
