PITT'S KUNTU REPERTORY THEATRE TO HOLD AUDITIONS, MAY 20-22
PITTSBURGH, April 27 -- The University of Pittsburgh's internationally-known Kuntu Repertory Theatre will hold auditions for the play "Sing, Black Hammer," Thursday to Saturday, May 20-22 in the Stephen Foster Memorial Auditorium on Pitt's campus.
Roles are available for African-American women, ages 20-60, and African-American men, ages 17-50. Everyone will be required to perform a two-minute monologue, which can be brought to the audition. Readings will be available for those who need them. Women planning to audition also should come prepared to sing.
Audition times are 6:30 to 10 p.m., Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to
3 p.m., Saturday.

"Sing, Black Hammer" was written by William Mayfield. It will be performed June 17 through July 3.
