PITT TO HOLD ALUMNAE COUNCIL SPRING LUNCHEON

PITTSBURGH, April 21 -- The Alumnae Council of the University of Pittsburgh Alumni Association will hold its Spring luncheon with a Silent Auction beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 24 in the Grand Concourse River Room, Station Square.

This year's theme is "Antique Roadshow" Pittsburgh style, with special guest Ed Linder, nationally known purveyor of antiques, fine art, oriental rugs and home furnishings, and a 1971 graduate of Pitt's College of General Studies.

In addition to the Silent Auction, Linder will assess "treasures" for the luncheon attendees. There also will be presentation of this year's "Distinguished Alumna Award," "Distinguished Service Award," and announcement of the Alumnae scholarship recipient.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Lantern Fund and the Alumnae Scholarship Fund. If unable to attend, donations for either fund are welcome. Checks should be made payable to the University of Pittsburgh and sent to Alumnae Spring Luncheon, c/o Pitt Alumni Association, 200 S. Craig Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15260.
