HARVARD SCHOLAR, AUTHOR TO SPEAK AT PITT

PITTSBURGH, Feb. 9 -- Sylvia Maxwell, visiting scholar at the Harvard Institute for International Development and author of "Gatekeepers of Growth," will address "Financial Internationalization and Emerging Markets: Political and Policy Issues," at 3 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 11 in Room 2K56 Forbes Quadrangle Building on the University of Pittsburgh campus.

The lecture is free and open to the public, and a reception will follow. The Forbes Quadrangle Building is located at 230 S. Bouquet Street, next to Hillman Library.

The lecture is sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh's Office of the Provost, University Center for International Studies, Center for Latin American Studies, Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, International Management Development Institute, Department of Economics and Department of Political Science, and Carnegie Mellon University's Department of Social and Decision Science.
