Contact:

PITTSBURGH, March 26 -- The University of Pittsburgh Women's Association will hold its first Spring Fling EGGstravaganza fundraiser on Sunday, April 5, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Cathedral of Learning Commons Room.

Activities will include: egg decorating, an egg hunt, chocolate making with a local confectioner, face painting for children, and an old-fashioned musical cake walk in which one lucky person will win a real cake. Prizes will be awarded to the person with the prettiest or most creative spring bonnet and to the winner of the "Guess How Many Jelly Beans are in the Jar" contest. Along with exploring the first floor of the Cathedral, attendees will have the opportunity to see Pitt's famous Nationality Rooms.

Tickets are $3 per child, with a $15 maximum per family, and will be sold at the door, no reservations required. Parking will be available at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial garage (Bigelow Street entrance, above Fifth Avenue) at a special event price of $2. All proceeds will benefit the Women's scholarship fund, which provides financial help for women returning to Pitt to complete their education.
