LECTURES

2/16 The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine presents the Dickson Prize in Medicine Lecture, "Cancer Genetics: A Case Study," by Richard D. Klausner, MD, Director of the National Cancer Institute and winner of the 1998 Dickson Prize. Scaife Hall, Lecture Room 6, 4 p.m. Free admission. For more information, call 624-7110.

2/16 Pitt's Department of the History of Art and Architecture will sponsor a lecture by Professor Fil Hearn titled "A consultative examination of a book in progress: Ideas that Shaped Buildings." Frick Fine Arts Building, Room 203, noon. Free admission. For more information, call 648-2400.

2/20 Pitt's Women's Studies program presents a lecture titled "A Feminist Perspective on Death and Dying," by Peggy Stubbs, research associate at the Women's Studies Program. Cathedral of Learning, Room 2629, noon. Free admission. For more information, call 624-6485.

2/18 Pitt's Department of Music presents the University Chamber Orchestra featuring works by Stephen Foster, Ulysses Kay, Joseph Kraus, György Ligeti, and Philip Thompson, Directed by Roger Zahab. Bellefield Hall Auditorium, 8 p.m. Free admission. For more information, call 624-4125.

THEATRE

2/11 - 2/22 Pitt's Department of Theatre Arts presents William Shakespeare's "Pericles", directed by Larry John Meyers. Studio Theatre, Cathedral of Learning, basement level. EXHIBIT

2/4 - 2/27 Pitt's University Art Gallery will feature the "Studio Arts Department Faculty Show." The gallery is located in the rear of the Frick Fine Arts Building, Schenley Drive.
