4/16 The University of Pittsburgh School of Law and the Pittsburgh Opera present a conference titled Dead Man Walking: Law, Culture, and Capital Punishment featuring keynote speakers Austin Sarat, William Nelson Cromwell Professor of Jurisprudence and Social Thought at Amherst College, and Sister Helen Prejean, C.S.J., author of Dead Man Walking: An Eye Witness Account of the Death Penalty in the U.S. (Random House, 1993; Vintage, 1994).
