Pitt Student Rob Feinberg to Screen Test for As The World Turns
PITTSBURGH—Rob Feinberg, a first-year communications major who had a speaking role on As The World Turns when the show's "Catch Us If You Can" bus tour visited the University of Pittsburgh campus last September, will compete
April 25 in "Soap Star Screen Tests" on CBS's The Early Show for a role on the daytime drama.
Feinberg was one of 10 student actors from across the country selected from the original "Catch Us If You Can" group. The 10, chosen by the Emmy award-winning daytime drama, will travel to New York City to screen test on The Early Show opposite actors who regularly appear on As The World Turns.
Feinberg, who was surprised with the news by KDKA-TV reporter Dave Crowley last Thursday, will appear with Ohio State University student Amy Culbertson and As The World Turns actor Michael Park (Jack Snyder).
All screen tests will be recapped April 26 on The Saturday Early Show; viewers will then be able to vote for their favorite male and female student actors on the show's Web site, www.cbsnews.com/earlyshow.
The two winning student actors will receive a weeklong role on As The World Turns this summer. The Early Show appears weekdays from 7 to 9 a.m. on local CBS affiliate KDKA-TV.
