Pitt to Host Wellness Fair 2003 March 27

PITTSBURGH—The University of Pittsburgh School of Education's Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation will host "Wellness Fair 2003" from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 27 in the William Pitt Union (WPU), 3959 Forbes Ave. This event is free to Pitt faculty, staff, and students with

valid ID.

Booths from Pitt, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), and other organizations will be accessible in WPU's Assembly Room, Kurtzman Room, and Ballroom. Booths will provide participants with information about health wellness and an array of services, including health, spinal, and stroke screenings, postural analysis, blood pressure readings, and body composition.

For participants who have recreational interests, instructional Yoga, Tai Chi, karate, and kickboxing demonstrations will be on display. Attendees will receive a free lunch and massage and a chance to win great door prizes from such local businesses as Tela Ropa, Oakland Oasis, University Book Store, and S & J Nail Design.

"Wellness Fair 2003" will feature more than 30 booths from organizations, including the Carnegie Library, Pitt Sports Massage, Magee-Women's Hospital, UPMC Stroke Institute, the American Cancer Society, Bruester's Old Fashioned Ice Cream, and Mark Kay Cosmetics.
