Pitt Professor Available to Discuss Newly Released Unemployment Figures
PITTSBURGH-The nation's unemployment rate rose by 0.4 percentage point to 10.2 percent in October, and Pitt business professor James Craft is available to discuss the causes and consequences of the rate increase.
Craft, a business administration professor in Pitt's Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, researches and publishes extensively in the field of human resources and labor relations. Current research activities include an inquiry into the elements of organizational human resources strategy, the use of human resources systems to enhance organizational competitiveness, the role of the church and religion in labor relations, and an examination of the evolving characteristics of unions and collective bargaining.
