May 5 Memorial Service for Pitt Board of Trustees Chair and Former Chief Justice of Pennsylvania Ralph J. Cappy
PITTSBURGH-At the request of the family, members of the media present to cover the 11 a.m. May 5 memorial service for University of Pittsburgh Board of Trustees Chair and former Chief Justice of Pennsylvania Ralph J. Cappy will be restricted to the front lawn area of Heinz Chapel, where a video screen, tent, and mult box for an audio feed will be set up. Pool video feeds may be arranged through Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN), which will have two stationary cameras posted inside Heinz Chapel during the service. [The contact at PCN is Doug Sicchitano, 412-443-1080.] Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus of Pittsburgh William Joseph Winter will officiate at the service, which is scheduled to conclude by noon, and there will be three speakers: Pitt Chancellor Mark A. Nordenberg, Pittsburgh attorney and Pitt law school alumnus Gary G. Gentile, and Richard A. Zappala, former principal and chair of The First City Company and cochair of The Pacem in Terris Institute Board of Governors.
