Pitt to Host High School Dance Workshop Feb. 10

PITTSBURGH-In conjunction with the University of Pittsburgh Department of Health and Physical Activity's Community Leisure-Learn Program, Pitt's University Dance Ensemble will host a high school dance workshop from noon to 5 p.m. Feb. 10 in Trees Hall, Allequippa and Darragh streets, Oakland.

Pitt faculty and University Dance Ensemble dancers will offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced instruction in various dance genres, including contemporary, ballroom, African, and improvisational.

Since its inception 35 years ago, the Community Leisure-Learn Program has worked as an outreach program designed to increase health awareness and ensure optimization of the quality of life throughout the local community.

The University Dance Ensemble is a student organization open to all Pitt students seeking a greater appreciation and understanding of dance. For more information, visit www.sorc.pitt.edu.
