Pitt Alumni Association 2006 Club/Council of the Year, Banner Awardees Announced
PITTSBURGH-The University of Pittsburgh's Alumni Association has awarded the African American Alumni Council the 2006 Club/Council of the Year award, which is the top award given to banner status applicants; it also has announced the blue and gold banner awards to various Pitt alumni organizations.
Established in 1998, the Banner Program recognizes Pitt alumni clubs, councils, societies, and regional associations that participate in communications, fundraising, student recruitment, programs, and scholarships, among other activities that support the mission of the Alumni Association. Criteria for the award included the completion of the annual requirements, plus one activity in each of the following categories: financial strength, communications, student involvement, and partnerships.
