Pitt's Kuntu Repertory Theatre Announces Auditions for Its Upcoming 2006-07 Season
PITTSBURGH-Pitt's Kuntu Repertory Theatre encourages men and women of all ethnic backgrounds to audition for the plays that will comprise Kuntu's upcoming 2006-07 season.
All those auditioning for In the Midnight Hour, Sarafina!, Relativity, and a new work that will be a world premiere must attend a workshop from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, in the Seventh-Floor Auditorium of Alumni Hall, 4227 Fifth Ave., Oakland. This workshop is part of the audition process.
The workshop will continue with individual auditioning times between 4 and 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8. Actors must make an appointment for that session, either at the first workshop or by calling 412-624-7298.
Participants should be prepared to present a two-minute monologue. They also should bring to both sessions their own sheet music with eight bars marked for the accompanist that show voice and range, a résumé, and four copies of a recent photo.
