Koppers Inc. President and CEO Walter W. Turner Joins IEE Advisory Board at the University of Pittsburgh
PITTSBURGH-The Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence (IEE) at the University of Pittsburgh Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business announces that Walter W. Turner, president and CEO of Pittsburgh-headquartered Koppers Inc., has joined the IEE advisory board.
As a member of the advisory board, Turner will contribute his leadership and business expertise to further IEE's mission of leading economic renewal and growth by leveraging the University of Pittsburgh's educational and consulting resources for the benefit of Western Pennsylvania's businesses and entrepreneurs.
"As someone genuinely committed to the development and vitality of Western Pennsylvania, I am pleased to support the fine efforts of an organization that shares my vision of a strong, growing region," Turner said. "With services that address a variety of different business needs and help businesses better utilize existing resources in our region, IEE is making the kind of impact that will attract and grow companies for many years to come."
Turner has been president, CEO, and a director of Koppers Holdings since November 2004 and president, CEO, and director of Koppers Inc. since February 1998. He joined Koppers Company in 1969.
