The following events at the University of Pittsburgh are open to the public and cover the time period, April 15 - April 21.
MUSIC
4/15 Pitt's Department of Music presents J.S. Bach's "St. Matthew Passion,"
- conducted by Don Franklin. The piece will be performed on period
4/16 instruments, with two choirs, two orchestras, and vocal soloists, and will feature the Collegium Musicium and the Cantata Choir. Heinz Memorial Chapel, 7 p.m. (Saturday) and 3 p.m. (Sunday). General admission, $5, students and seniors, $3. For more information, call 412-624-4125.
4/20 Pitt's Department of Music presents the annual University of Pittsburgh Jazz Ensemble Spring Concert, featuring special guest, internationally-recognized tenor saxophonist Frank Foster. 4/15 The University of Pittsburgh Repertory Theatre presents Roger Corman's cult
