ELSIE HILLMAN TO SPEAK AT PITT WOMEN'S INTERNATIONAL CLUB LUNCHEON
PITTSBURGH, August 31 -- The University of Pittsburgh Women's International Club will hold its annual scholarship luncheon with guest speaker Elsie Hillman Thursday, Sept. 16, at noon in the University Club, Oakland. Hillman's topic is "The Role of Women in the Development of the City of Pittsburgh."
Scholarship recipient Donna Berardi, who studied at the University of Augsburg in Germany, will be honored during the luncheon.
The Women's International Club has endowed an annual scholarship, funded through sales of their Nationality Rooms Recipe book, for University of Pittsburgh women to study abroad. First published in 1976, the ethnic recipe book has sold more than 20,000 copies.
