PITT NAMES FOUR NEW TRUSTEES

PITTSBURGH, June 25 -- The University of Pittsburgh Board of Trustees elected four new members at its meeting today. The new trustees are:

• Christopher M. Condron, president and chief operating officer of Mellon Bank Corporation and chairman and chief executive officer of The Dreyfus Corporation. He is also a trustee of the University of Scranton and St. Sebastian's Country Day School, and a member of the executive committee of the Board of Governors of the Investment Company Institute.

• Jack H. Millstein, managing director of Millstein Industries and director of the Millstein Charitable Foundation. He has been a member of the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg Advisory Board since 1984, serving as its chair since 1997. He also serves on the boards of Westmoreland County Community College Foundation and the Westmoreland Health System.

• Richard W. Roeder, senior partner in the law firm of Roeder & Rothschild and co-trustee of the John Nesbit Rees and Sarah Henne Rees Charitable Foundation. He is a 1969 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and has been a member of the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville Advisory Board since 1980, serving as its chair since 1995.

• George H. Taber, chairperson of the UPMC Health System Board of Directors and retired director and trustee emeritus of the Richard King Mellon Foundation. He also serves on the boards of the Carnegie Science Center, Manchester Bidwell Development Trust, and the World Wildlife Fund USA. He was awarded the University of Pittsburgh Bicentennial Medallion in 1988.
