4/19 Pitt's Center for Latin American Studies and the Department of History present a lecture by Magnus Morner, former Mellon Professor of History at Pitt, titled "Exploring Little-Known Relationships: Sweden and Spain since the 1600s." 4/20 Pitt's Center for Latin American Studies, the Latin American Cultural Union, the Roy Hunt Foundation, and World Neighbors present a seminar titled "After Hurricane Mitch: Building A Sustainable Recovery in Central America." Presenters are Oscar Castaneda, national coordinator of World Neighbors Guatemala, and Steve Brescia, former World Neighbors representative for Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean.
