The following events at the University of Pittsburgh are open to the public and cover the time period, April 20 - April 26.

LECTURE

4/24 Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic (WPIC), Department of Psychiatry, the Mental Health Clinical Research Center for the Study of Affective Disorders, the Mental Health Clinical Research Center for the Study of Late-Life Mood Disorders, and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Continuing Education in the Health Sciences will sponsor the Visiting Professorship Program featuring a lecture titled "Early Detection of Alzheimer's Disease" by Gary W. Small, MD, Professor of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences; Director, UCLA Center on Aging, Los Angeles, California. WPIC Auditorium, 3811 O'Hara Street, 2nd Floor, 10:30 a.m. - noon. EXHIBIT

4/8 - 4/26 Pitt's Department of Studio Arts presents the 1998 Annual Studio Arts Student Exhibition at the University Art Gallery. The Opening Reception will be held on April 8 from 4 - 6 p.m. The closing of the event will be a Graduation Reception on April 26 from 10 a.m. - noon. The reception will honor Studio Arts, History of Art & Architecture, and Architectural Studies Graduates. The gallery is located in the rear of the Frick Fine Arts Building, Schenley Drive. Regular gallery hours are 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, closed weekends. Free admission. For more information, call 648-2430.
