LECTURES

3/23 Pitt's Department of the History of Art and Architecture will present a lecture by Professor Ann Sutherland Harris, titled "Guido Reni's First Thoughts." Frick Fine Arts Building, Room 203, noon. Free admission. For more information, call 648-2400.

3/23 Pitt's Center for Latin American Studies and the Department of Economics will sponsor a Mini-Series on Social Issues in Latin America titled "The Political Economy of Institutional Reform in Latin America," featuring Carol Graham, Foreign Policy Program, The Brookings Institution. 3/24 Pitt's Graduate School of Public and International Affairs presents a panel discussion on "Making Collaborations Work." The discussion will feature Tracy Soska, Professor of Social Work, on "Theoretical Approaches to Effective Collaboration;" Hide Yamatani, Professor of Social Work, on "Results of Analytical Research on Collaborations;" and Chris Smith, Executive Director of The Whale's Tale Youth and Family Counseling Center, on "Lessons Learned From the Field." 3/24 Pitt's Department of Music presents composer/performer Anne LeBaron, performing music for electric harp and guitar. 3/29 Pitt's Department of Music presents "Bach Cantatas" featuring J.S. Bach's Mass in A major and Cantata 104, Du Hirte Israel, höre. The performance is conducted by Don Franklin, past president of the American Bach Society, and features the Collegium Musicum, Cantata Singers, and soloists. THEATRE

3/17 - 4/4 Pitt's Kuntu Repertory Theatre presents Pearle Cleage's "Blues for an Alabama Sky," directed by Vernell A. Lillie. The Pit Theatre, corner of South Bouquet and Sennott Streets in Oakland. 3/25 Pitt's Women's Studies Program, the French Department, the Italian Department and the Theatre Arts Department will sponsor The Acting Company, presenting, from their Women's Project, selections from "Orgasmo Adulto Escapes from the Zoo," by Franca Rame and Dario Fo (1997 winner of the Nobel Prize for literature).
