PITT'S HEALTH FAIR '98 FOCUSES ON WELLNESS
PITTSBURGH, Jan. 12 -- The University of Pittsburgh Student Health Service will present "Mardi Gras: Unmask Your Wellness" at Health Fair '98 on Wednesday, Jan. 28, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the William Pitt Union Assembly Room.
Free and open to the public, Pitt's Health Fair will offer a variety of health screenings including body fat percentage, blood pressure, and oral exams by the Pitt Dental School. Entertainment will be provided by Beautiful Hands, the Pitt Jazz Quintet, and the Pitt Dance Ensemble. Participants can try their luck at winning the many prizes and give-a-ways offered by area merchants.
The annual health fair, coordinated through the Health Education Office, is one of many programs provided by the Student Health Service. Numerous campus groups and community organizations assist in presenting the health fair and promoting its goal: an awareness and practice of healthier lifestyles.
