LECTURE

12/9 The University of Pittsburgh will host the Computers and Qualitative Data Analysis Seminar, consisting of two lectures with a question-and-answer session for each, at 7 p.m. in Room 125, Victoria Building, 3500 Victoria St., Oakland. Raymond Maietta, president of Research Talk Inc., will deliver a lecture titled "Integrating Software into Qualitative Analysis," and Stuart W. Shulman, assistant professor of information sciences and public administration at Pitt, will give a lecture titled "Using Atlas.ti to Support Interdisciplinary Research: The Mercury Case Study." 12/10 Ken Manders, a professor of philosophy at Pitt, will deliver a lecture titled "Descartes Regulae in the Light of His Early Mathematics," at 12:05 p.m., Room 817R, Cathedral of Learning, 4200 Fifth Ave., Oakland. 12/10 Shuming Nie, a biomedical engineering professor at Emory University and Georgia Tech, will deliver a lecture titled "Biomedical Nanotechnology for Molecular Imaging, Profiling, and Drug Targeting," at noon, Room 531, Alumni Hall, 4227 Fifth Ave., Oakland.
