The University of Pittsburgh Film Studies Program Hosts Mosaic Media Group's Eric Gold

PITTSBURGH— Entertainment manager, producer, and Pittsburgh native Eric Gold will speak about television and film production during a University of Pittsburgh Pitt In Hollywood lecture at 1 p.m. Feb. 7 in Room 1P56, Posvar Hall. This free lecture is open to the public.
Affording a rare glimpse into the creative process of the entertainment industry, Gold will show clips produced by his company, Mosaic Media Group. Trailers from such current and upcoming films as NARC, Bruce Almighty, and the Disney-Pixar release of Finding Nemo also will be shown and discussed as part of the presentation.
Mosaic Media Group manages the careers of Hollywood stars such as Jim Carrey, Will Ferrell, Tea Leoni, and Damon Wayans. The group also represents writer-directors John Landis, (Animal House, Trading Places), Jay Roach, (Austin Powers, Meet The Parents), and Robert Luketic (Legally Blonde).
Gold, a stand up comic before moving into entertainment management, launched the Gold Miller Company with partner Jimmy Miller in 1994. In 1999, Gold Miller Company merged with Atlas Entertainment and Third Rail Management to form Mosaic Media Group.
Since then, the company has played an influential role not only in television and film but also in music. Gold's list of clients includes multi-Grammy Award winner Alanis Morrissette, hip-hop group Outkast, and alternative acts Goo Goo Dolls and Green Day.
