PITTSBURGH—The University of Pittsburgh Student Health Service will hold "Health Fair 2003: Peace, Love, and Health" from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 22 in the William Pitt Union Assembly Room, 3959 Fifth Ave., Oakland.

Health Fair 2003, a free annual health fair, will offer a variety of health screenings, including body composition analysis, cholesterol testing, blood pressure readings, and oral exams. Free items such as "after" sun lotion, stress magnets, key chains, and pens will be available to participants, along with the opportunity to win the many prizes offered by area merchants.

This year's entertainment includes the Pitt Jazz Band, the Pitt Dance Ensemble, aerobic kickboxing, and an aerobics demonstration.

The annual health fair, coordinated through Pitt's Health Education Office, is one of the many programs provided by the Student Health Service.

Numerous campus groups and community organizations, including the Allegheny County Health Department, the Athletic Student Training Association, and Ortho McNeil Pharmaceuticals, assist in presenting the health fair.

The goal of the event is to promote public awareness and practice of healthier lifestyles.
