PITTSBURGH—University of Pittsburgh students will serve as extras and the Pitt Men's Glee Club will sing for a "Freshman Family Weekend" reception in the Emmy award-winning CBS daytime drama, "As the World Turns," to be taped Thursday morning on the Frick Fine Arts building lawn.

Pitt is the fourth stop in the show's 10-campus "Catch Us If You Can" bus tour. Three of the show's young characters—the wholesome Lucy Montgomery (Peyton List), the rebellious Alison Stewart (Jessica R. Dunphy), and the hunky Aaron Snyder (Agim Kaba)—flee home, family, and the law to look for safety and friendship among their peers. The college tour episodes will air approximately one month after taping.

Last week, "As the World Turns" Casting Director Mary Clay Boland conducted auditions from a casting bus parked outside of the William Pitt Union. More than 400 hopeful actors, including Pitt students and area residents, auditioned for spots on the show.

The other schools on the tour are Webster University, St. Louis, Mo.; Franklin College, Franklin, In.; Ohio State University, Columbus, Oh.; University of Maryland, College Park, Md.; Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Va.; University of North Carolina/Charlotte, Charlotte, N.C.; Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tn.; Rhodes College, Memphis, Tn.; and Tulane University,

New Orleans, La.
