U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam To Give Lecture at Pitt Nov. 10 on U.S., Vietnam Relations
PITTSBURGH-The University of Pittsburgh will present a free public lecture by Michael W. Michalak, the U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam, at 2 p.m. Nov. 10 in the Kurtzman Room, William Pitt Union, 3959 Fifth Ave., Oakland. Michalak will discuss the relationship between the United States and Vietnam, including political and economic relations, as well as the importance of educational links between the two counties. Other topics of discussion will include priority technologies and products and service needs in Vietnam, including I/P security. There will be a question-and-answer session following the lecture.
Cosponsors of the event include Pitt's Asian Studies Center with the University Center for International Studies, Graduate School for Public and International Affairs, Institute for International Studies in Education, Department of Political Science, Ridgway Center for International Security Studies, Swanson School of Engineering, and Center for International Legal Education, and by Global Pittsburgh.
