CONFERENCE

6/3 The University of Pittsburgh will host the 2009 Working Class Studies Association Conference June 3-6 in the William Pitt Union, 3959 Fifth Ave., Oakland. Conference speakers include historian David Montgomery on class and empire, educator Ira Shor on class in the classroom, writer Bill Fletcher Jr. on the current economic crisis, and union leader Fred Redmond on labor and globalization. LECTURE

6/3 Anthony D. Wagner, a professor in Stanford University's Department of Psychology, will deliver a lecture titled "Resolving Uncertainty and Regulating Memory: Contributions From Frontal and Parietal Cortex" at 3 p.m. 2nd Floor Auditorium, Learning Research and Development Center, 3939 O'Hara St., Oakland. 6/3 Pitt's Kuntu Repertory Theatre will present Among the Best: "The Pittsburgh Crawfords and the Homestead Grays," directed by Vernell A.
