PITTSBURGH-The works of 30 Pitt studio arts students are featured in the 2009 Studio Arts Student Exhibition, which runs today through April 25 at the University Art Gallery in the Frick Fine Arts Building, 650 Schenley Dr., Oakland. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday as well as on Saturday, April 25. An opening reception will take place today from 4 to 6 p.m. in the gallery.

The students' work is presented in painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, digital imaging, and other media and includes works by both seniors and talented underclass students. A faculty jury selected the pieces, which reflect the enthusiasm and talent of emerging artists and their perspectives on personal, societal, and cultural issues.

At noon on April 15, student artists will be in the gallery to discuss their work and answer questions.
