University of Pittsburgh to Hold Dance Workshop for High School Students Feb. 28

PITTSBURGH-The University of Pittsburgh's Department of Health and Physical Activity in conjunction with the Pitt Dance Ensemble and the Community Leisure-Learn Program will host a dance workshop titled Love to Dance for high school students from noon to 5 p.m. Feb. 28 in Trees Hall, Allequippa and Darragh streets, Oakland.

Taught by the Pitt faculty and members of the University Dance Ensemble, the workshop will encompass many forms of dance, including ballet, jazz, hip-hop, belly-dance, and African. The day ends with an informal recital where both workshop participants and the Pitt Dance Ensemble perform.

This is the third-annual high school dance workshop Pitt has hosted.

Participation in the workshop costs $25, and registration is required. To register, call the Department of Health and Physical Activity at 412-648-8262 by Feb. 24. Registrations will be accepted on-site Feb. 28, provided space remains.
