Pitt's Honors College to Present Panel of National Experts on "America's Looming Fiscal Crisis" March 25
PITTSBURGH-As part of the American Experience Lecture Series, the University of Pittsburgh Honors College will present a panel discussion, titled "America's Looming Fiscal Crisis: An Election Year Wake-Up Call," at 8 p.m. March 25 in the Twentieth Century Club, Bigelow Boulevard and Parkman Street, Oakland.
The presentation will be held in collaboration with The Concord Coalition, a nationwide, nonpartisan grass roots organization that advocates responsible fiscal policy.
The panel, moderated by Paul H. O'Neill, 72nd Secretary of the Treasury of the United States and former chair and CEO of Alcoa, will feature David M. Walker, U.S. comptroller general; Robert L. Bixby, executive director of The Concord Coalition; Alice M. Rivlin, senior fellow of The Brookings Institution; and Brian M. Riedl, senior policy analyst of The Heritage Foundation.

Robert Hazo created the American Experience program 37 years ago to offer the city's mid- to-high level managers insight into political and economic thought, with the intent of enlightening the public's political discourse. The series focuses on political and economical issues featuring annual addresses by such internationally known speakers as the late John Kenneth Galbraith, Pat Buchanan, and Teresa Heinz.
