Pitt's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Hosts Open House Nov. 28
PITTSBURGH-The University of Pittsburgh Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) -which offers intellectually challenging Pitt courses to adults age 55 and over-is hosting an Open House Nov. 28 in Pitt's College of General Studies, 4th floor, Cathedral of Learning, 4200 Fifth Ave., Oakland.
There will be two free information sessions, at 10 and 11 a.m. OLLI staff and students will be on hand to explain the program and answer questions. To register or for more information, call 412-624-7308 or visit www.cgs.pitt.edu.
The OLLI experience is designed for retired or semiretired individuals. Established by a grant from the Bernard Osher Foundation, OLLI works to foster an intellectual community of adult learners. From quantum physics to conversational Italian, the courses are taught by distinguished Pitt emeriti faculty and scholars. OLLI participants also may audit Pitt undergraduate courses and participate in special programs.
Courses are offered on the Pittsburgh campus as well as at the Monroeville Expomart.
