4/27 The Second Step: Developing a Business Plan is the second half of a business-training seminar being presented by Pitt's Small Business Development Center. The seminar will be held from 7:30 to 10 a.m., Room 209, Mervis Hall, Roberto Clemente Drive, Oakland. There is a $25 registration fee. 4/30 As part of the 10th Annual Dowd Lecture Series, three lectures will be presented by internationally recognized chemists in Room 12, Chevron Science Center, 219 Parkman Ave., Oakland. The schedule for the lectures is as follows:

1:30 p.m.-Kendall N. Houk, a professor of chemistry in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of California, Los Angeles;

2:50 p.m.-Julius Rebek Jr., director of The Skaggs Institute for Chemical Biology at the Scripps Research Institute; and

4:30 p.m.-Samuel Danishefsky, the head of the Molecular and Pharmacology lab in the Sloan-Kettering Institute and a professor of chemistry at Columbia University.
