University of Pittsburgh ROTC to Present Sept. 11 Memorial Service

PITTSBURGH-This Thursday, the University of Pittsburgh's Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps will present a public memorial service in remembrance of the 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States. The service will take place at 9 a.m. Sept. 11 on the Cathedral of Learning lawn, at the intersection of Bigelow Boulevard and Fifth Avenue.

Distinguished guests will include Luke Ravenstahl, mayor of Pittsburgh; Tim Delaney, chief of the Pitt police department; Darryl Jones, chief of the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire; and G. Reynolds Clark, Pitt vice chancellor for community initiatives and chief of staff in the Office of the Chancellor.

During the service, a 21-gun salute will be rendered to honor the fallen.
