University of Pittsburgh to Present Film by Eleni Binge, "Seeing Through the Fence," April 10

PITTSBURGH-Filmmaker Eleni Binge will present her film outlining the ethical issues associated with food production and consumption, at 6 p.m. April 10 in the Frick Fine Arts Auditorium, 650 Schenley Dr., Oakland.

The screening of the film, "Seeing Through the Fence," is free and open to the public. A discussion with Binge with follow.

The film explores the role of food in modern society and our connection, or lack thereof, with the processes and animals from which food originates. It also explores the role of activism and the stereotyping off activists and alternative lifestyles.

The event is sponsored and hosted by International Business Center and Pitt's Global Studies Program within the University Center for International Studies.
