LECTURE
9/8 John Hoerr, author of Harry, Tom, and Father Rice: Accusation and Betrayal in America's Cold War, will be on hand from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Book Center to discuss and sign his book. The book signing is sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh Press and The Book Center, 4000 Fifth Ave. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 412-648-1453.
MUSIC
9/8 Airplay Wind Trio will perform "From Europe to America" at 8:30 p.m. in Heinz Chapel, as part of the Heinz Chapel Pittsburgh Artists Series. Admission is $12.
