11/30 Pitt Repertory Theatre will give a special preview performance of A Lie of The Mind, written by Sam Shepard and directed by Melanie Dreyer, at 8 p.m., Henry Heymann Theatre, Stephen Foster Memorial, Forbes Avenue and Bigelow Boulevard, Oakland. EXHIBITION
11/24 The art exhibition, A Sense of Place: Contemporary African American Art, will run through Dec. 9 in Pitt's Frick Fine Arts Gallery, Schenley Drive, Oakland. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and Thursdays until 8 p.m. Lectures, Gallery Talks, and other events will be held throughout the exhibition. TOUR
11/24 The 26 Nationality Rooms in Pitt's Cathedral of Learning, 4200 Fifth Ave., will be open for tours from Nov. 13 to Jan. 13. Hours are Monday through Friday,
9 a.m.-4 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. An exception is Friday, Nov. 25, with rooms opening at 10 a.m. From Dec. 27 to
Dec. 31, the rooms will open at 10 a.m., with the last tour beginning at 2: 30 p.m. The rooms are closed Dec. 24-26 and Jan. 1. Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for children ages eight to 18. Children under eight are admitted free. A free Holiday Open House will be held Dec. 4 from noon to 4 p.m.; it will include traditional holiday performances, ethnic foods, and crafts for sale.
