Pitt's Kuntu Repertory Theatre to Hold Auditions Sept. 4 and 5
PITTSBURGH—The University of Pittsburgh's Kuntu Repertory Theatre (KRT) will hold auditions for its 2003-2004 season from 6 to 10 p.m. Sept. 4 and Sept. 5 in the seventh Floor Auditorium of Alumni Hall, 4227 Fifth Ave., on Pitt's campus.
Actors are asked to prepare a 90-second monologue; singers should be prepared to sing 16 bars from a contemporary song; dancers should create and perform a brief dance movement. Head shots and resumes are requested but not required. Actors should be prepared to stay at least three hours. A second round of auditions for those who qualify will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 6.
KRT's 2003-2004 schedule, a season of westerns, is as follows: She'll Find Her Way Home, Oct. 16-Nov. 1; The Buffalo Soldiers Plus One, Jan. 29-Feb. 14; Dark Cowgirls and Prairie Queens, March 8-April 3; and Deadwood Dick, Legend of the West, May 21-June 5.
