Pitt's Asian Studies Center to Present Lecture on Koreans in Japan

PITTSBURGH—The Asian Studies Center within the University Center for International Studies at the University of Pittsburgh will present a lecture titled "Koreans in Japan: Seen From a Life History" by Sonia Ryang, associate professor of anthropology at Johns Hopkins University, at 2 p.m. July 18 in

2K56 Posvar Hall, 230 S. Bouquet St., Oakland.

Ryang's talk will explore the ways in which Koreans in Japan, even those who have lived there for generations, are still seen as outsiders and how human relations are affected by the relationships between nation-states.
