PITTSBURGH— Thomas Starzl, pioneer in human organ transplantation and author of the famed The Puzzle People: Memoirs of a Transplant Surgeon (University of Pittsburgh Press, 1992, 2003), will sign copies of his book at noon Jan. 22 at the University of Pittsburgh Book Center, 4000 Fifth Ave., Oakland.
