Pitt Book Center to Host Dec. 8 Meet and Speak with WQED's Rick Sebak
PITTSBURGH-Rick Sebak, host of WQED-TV Pittsburgh Video Collection and PBS's National Video Collection, will take part in a Meet-and-Speak session and signing at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 8 in the University of Pittsburgh Book Center, 4000 Fifth Ave., Oakland.
Sebak is known for producing documentaries on the city of Pittsburgh, including Strip Show, Kennywood Memories, and Something About Oakland, for WQED-TV Pittsburgh. He also has hosted A Hot Dog Program, An Ice Cream Show, and Great Old Amusement Parks on PBS.
In 1991, Sebak won a CINE Golden Eagle award, given for excellence in documentary and other informational film and video production, for his production of the documentary Our Neighbor, Fred Rogers, narrated by David Hartman that aired on PBS in 1990.
