The University of Pittsburgh has announced Heather Lyke as its new athletic director. Lyke is the director of athletics at Eastern Michigan University, and has been since 2013. Previously, she was the senior associate athletic director at Ohio State University. She was the first woman to hold the position at Eastern Michigan University, and will also be the first female athletic director in history at Pitt.
